Amy Roark, BSN RN NCSN serves as the Director of School Nursing for the Clarke County School District in Athens, GA. Nurse Roark continually advocates for school nurses and she increased school nursing staff in her district from 12 nurses to a team of 28 nurses, placing a full time nurse in every school as well as adding 2 district support nurses and a special education nurse to her team. In 2018, Nurse Roark led an initiative to bring the first School Based Health Center to Northeast Georgia and since then, 3 more school based Health Centers have opened in Clarke County Schools.  Recognized as the 2022 School Nurse Administrator of the Year, Nurse Roark is an active member of the Georgia Association of School Nurses and serves as the Georgia State Director for the National Association of School Nurses (2020-2025) and as a Regional Every Student Counts Data Champion.
