Named after Dr. George William Brumley Jr., physician, academician, scientist, and philanthropist, who championed the creation of a system of care aimed at maximizing the potential for children living in under resourced communities, the Brumley Award recognizes individuals and organizations making exceptional strides in improving access to healthcare and academic achievement through school-based health centers.
